Every Tuesday after school, from 3 until 4:30 pm, a small band of friends come together to join in something that makes them all alike. They all have different backgrounds, all have different interests, but one interest is the same. Something that unites them together. Guitar.

They all have different skill levels. Some of them have literally been playing for three weeks. Others for three years, or even more. They all like different genres. Some have a taste for country and alternative. Others love 80’s rock and metalcore. Others still prefer the Christian Contemporary side of things.

Despite all these differences, these people meet every Tuesday for an hour and a half for a club formed last year. Guitar Club was formed with the hopes that it might unite guitar players around the school to come and better their skill, and it seems to be doing just that.

The club even attracts some people who don’t even play. Sometimes people show up just to listen and rock along. Everyone is invited, everyone is welcome, and no one will be turned away because of skill or interest. If you’re willing to rock out, you’re invited.

Guitar Club starts at 3 pm every Tuesday after school, and until 4:30, the people who attend are in a different place. A place where the feelings you wish to get out become words. They become a sound. A place where people are united by one common interest and goal. Making music.
