Health Pathway Students Organize Second Annual Blood Drive

Senior Pierce Holyfield

After a successful blood drive last April, Mrs. Herbster and her health pathway students organized another blood drive that took place on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Their goal was 100 donated pints of blood. 110 people attempted to donate, and 86 usable pints of blood were taken back to the blood bank. This surpassed last year’s total by 17 pints. More may have been donated but the Red Cross volunteers ran out of bags. About 200 students in total were involved in the drive.
