Girl Code: He’s Just REALLY Not Into You

I’m baaack.

This week we are talking about the oh so common vice that is the boy whom you like and have liked for months on end that just doesn’t feel the same way.

He flirts.

He makes it seem like he wants a relationship with you.

He says things that make you feel special.

…and so on.

However, he does this to keep you holding on to something that’s never going to happen. The delusion that makes you think you’re going to date that guy one day is ridiculous because if you were going to date, it would already be happening.

You have got to stop sitting around waiting for a text that was probably sent to multiple girls. There’s nothing special about being strung along.

This vice is not even really a vice, but slightly pathetic. That sounds harsh, but girls settling for less than they deserve happens way too often.

The only way to end this bad habit is to be honest with yourself.

If he likes you, he will not leave you wondering if he likes you. End of story.

After you finally admit to yourself what you’ve known all along, the next step is important. You’ve got to go through a mental break-up with this boy.

You’ve already convinced yourself there’s a relationship, so now it’s time to end it.

The difference between this and an actual break up lies in your need for a complete reality check. If you can take a hard look at the hell you’re putting yourself through, it gets easier to be a little less stubborn and a little less pathetic.

Moving on is going to be hard, but it will be worth it. So ladies, quit wasting your time on guys who clearly do not care about your feelings.

I will leave you with this quote, “Perhaps the fact that I chased a boy who ripped me to shreds says a lot more about me than it did him.” -Unknown.

Know your worth and know you deserve better.

Until next time, xoxo.
