Basehor-Linwood Beats Baldwin in Overtime
Basehor-Linwood opened the season under new coach Rod Stallbaumer against Baldwin High School last night. After finding themselves in a 14-6 hole in the 4th quarter, the Bobcats’ sophomore quarterback Justin Phillips scored on a 3rd down touchdown run, and then completed a pass to senior Pat Muldoon in the corner of the end zone to convert the two-point conversion.
The game went into overtime, and after holding Baldwin to a field goal on their possession, Phillips ran in the winning touchdown from 7 yards out. The final score was 20-17 Basehor-Linwood over Baldwin. The Bobcats are now 1-0 on the season and will play Lansing next Friday.
