Basehor-Linwood Handles Wellington in State Quarterfinal
The Basehor-Linwood boys basketball team kept their perfect season alive with a convincing 65-40 victory over the Wellington Crusaders. Wellington was making its first state tournament appearance since 1957. The Bobcats, who were upset in the first round of the state tournament last year, pressured the Crusaders in to 29 turnovers. Pat Muldoon led the way with 15 points. Carson Fliger and Jack Dale both scored in double figures as well. They’ll play the winner of the Ottawa/Fort Scott on Friday at 4:45 p.m. for a chance to clinch a berth in the state championship game.
