The baseball team split their double header against KVL rivall, Bonner Springs Braves, losing the first game 4-0, but coming back for 6-3 win. They had solid base hits. Senior Tuckker Johnson and sophomore Wyatt Wagner were hitting the ball out of the park Wednesday night.

During game one Freshman left fielder, Chandler Miller, ‘robbed’ Bonner Springs of a home run.

“It hit the top of the fence, bounded up, and he climbed to the top of the fence and caught it before it went over,” said head coach Andrew See.

Miller’s move helped their score playing 18 innings. The night ended with a loss, which was not the way the team wanted to go.

“We beat ourselves a little bit. During game one, Bonner didn’t hit off of sophomore Chase Torkelson very well. The small mistakes from us allowed Bonner to score on us,” said See.

The boys will be back April 2 against the Spring Hill Broncos. Both JV and Varsity will be playing single games at 4:00 pm.
