Track Competes at Baldwin Invitational
April 2, 2019
On April 1 men’s and women’s varsity track competed at Baker University for the Baldwin Invitational. The men’s team placed 5th with 72 points and women placed 2nd with 109 points.
“The coaching staff feels good about both teams competing today. Whether they were competing and feeling like their times weren’t that great, [they] went out and just started competing. We really needed that. We can build off of it, and work on improving the distances and times and everything like that throughout the year,” said assistant coach Jason Tatkenhorst.
“We have a mix of rookies and veterans. And it’s good to see the veterans lead our young ones in the right direction.”
Varsity track will be competing at their only home meet on Friday, April 6.
