Have you ever been in the mood to venture out and try something new? With this list of new and innovative dessert places around the area you’ll be sure to find something that sounds perfect.


  1. Crumbl Cookies – 

Crumble cookies recently opened not one but two new stores, one in Olathe and the other in Overland Park. They offer a new assortment of cookies and ice cream every Monday. Some of their most recent flavors of cookies include Carrot Cake, Cookies and Cream, Sea Salt Toffee, Iced Oatmeal, Milk Chocolate Chip and Chilled Sugar. Typically they offer a selection of ice creams too but they have been sold out since the week of their grand opening. Hopefully they will be offered again soon!


  1. Ice Cream Bae KC – 

Located in Leawood, Ice Cream Bae KC offers a number of Instagram worthy ice cream treats. From cereal infused ice cream cones to matcha soft serve to an option to customize your own “swirl” there is something that you can’t live without trying. Ice Cream Bae is located instead of the Marketplace at the plaza you can even shop while you enjoy your treat.


  1. I am Frozen Dessert Cafe – 

I am Frozen Dessert Cafe in Overland Park offers an assortment of desserts including shaved ice cream and espresso drinks. Shaved ice cream is a combination of ice cream and shaved ice and is something that the cafe specializes in. If you’re looking for something new then trying I am Frozen Dessert Cafe may be the choice for you. 


  1. Robeks – 

Maybe you’re in the mood for a healthy treat. In Overland Park Robeks offers a variety of healthy snacks and drinks including smoothies, toast, acai bowls and wellness shots. No matter what fruits and vegetables you like, there’s something on their menu for everyone.


  1. Nothing Bundt Cakes – 

With many locations including Mission, Olathe, Overland Park and Lee’s Summit, Nothing Bundt Cakes is not new but many aren’t familiar with it. Nothing Bundt Cakes offers many different sizes and flavors of bundt cakes. If you don’t want a whole cake they also offer Bundtlets which are a little bigger than a cupcake and Bundtinis which are bite size. Classic Vanilla, Chocolate Chocolate Chip and Red Velvet are the most popular flavors but if you are gluten sensitive they also offer a gluten-free chocolate chip flavor.
